After releasing a sumptuous and impressive self-titled EP on Armada Music no less than a month ago, the Israeli duo of Warriors are back again but this time with a twist. Collaborating with fellow Israeli DJ & Producer Roya, the Warriors duo – comprising of Trance legend Skazi and steadily rising MR.BLACK – pay tribute to their favorite TV show Narcos. The American crime TV series, which focuses on the rise and fall of Colombian kingpin Pablo Escobar, has been on the rise ever since its first episode in late August 2015. And through this venture between Warriors & Roya, the tribute echoes a similar sentiment in the hearts of many other Narcos fans world over. Keeping this in mind, the collaborators made sure that the track is a giveaway for all fans to enjoy.

Titled Narcos, the track sets off with an expected reference to the TV show’s opening credits track. The track in question here is Brazilian singer/songwriter Rodrigo Amarante‘s ‘Toyo‘ – a Bolero style song which is famous for being slow tempo Latin music and is usually associated with dancing. But this is where the Israeli team of Yaniv Biton, Asher Swissa and Roy Asiag turn it up a notch and turn the slow Latin dance number into a power-laced Psy Trance heavyweight.

Building along the Latin song’s melody with a trap beat, the track gradually builds into the hard-hitting Psy Trance ‘drop’. The track’s break is nothing less than a masterpiece from the collaborators’ production desk as it mashes the Latin dance number with an atypical collection of vocal snippets which in turn creates the pitch perfect atmosphere for the track to carry forward. Now with a free pass to deliver the second drop, the tribute song hits even harder and darker to end with. A fitting tribute to the stellar TV show, the track is an apt gift for all those who share the same appreciation as the artists.

The track is available as a free download through Soundcloud here.
