Ultra Music Festival Miami came to an emphatic close last weekend with DJ Snake taking closing honors. An adrenaline-pumping set filled with energy in every track, it was the perfect way to culminate the festival’s close. With new songs, ID’s and remixes being played everywhere, it was remix central in Miami. DJ Mag‘s world no. 3 DJ and Revealed Recordings founder Hardwell dropped a whopping 6 remixes and 4 ID’s during his set alone!

One of the most in-demand and hotly discussed remixes of recent weeks has been Chainsmokers’ collaboration with Coldplay on hit ‘Something Just Like This’. The Chainsmokers and Coldplay hit has so far reached No. 1 in a number of different countries. But this isn’t the first No. 1 The Chainsmokers have had. Hits such as ‘Roses’, ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ and ‘Closer’ have all taken No. 1 spots and raised the bar higher after each and every release for the New York-based DJ’s.

Notable artists such as Ummet Ozcan, Dimitri Vegas  Like Mike, Alesso, and ARMNHMR (who had their remix premiered on Billboard, peaking at no. 8 in the top 100) have all played fantastic remixes. However, the one remix on everyone’s mind is Afrojack and David Guetta‘s remix of The Chainsmokers’ collaboration with 6-time Grammy Award winning rock band, Coldplay.

Pushing the track up to 128 bpm, Afrojack and Guetta have turned this sweet, Future Bass, radio favorite, into a festival banger! It possesses the best of both worlds. Catchy vocals from Chris Martin that everyone will sing along to, and a big room drop with big kicks and dirty leads that’ll get fans jumping out of their skin!

This isn’t the first time the two superstar DJ’s have worked on a track together. They’ve co-produced tracks such as ‘Pandemonium’, ‘Lunar’, ‘Hey Mama’, and a new track which was premiered by both DJ’s during their sets called ‘Another Life’, featuring Ester Dean, which is set to be released on What A Music.
