The much-anticipated return of the Gorillaz will continue today as they will air new music today via BBC Radio 1. Mistajam’s Hottest Record of the Week segment will feature the group’s new material.
The masterminds behind iconic tracks like ‘Clint Eastwood’ and ‘Feel Good Inc.’ have announced they will be releasing their fifth studio album sometime this year, peaking excitement from around the world. In January, the group released ‘Hallelujah Money,’ their first record since ‘The Fall’ album in 2011.

The release date for their new album “Humanz” is speculated to be out on April 28th, following a series of posts on the bands Instagram page. A track list has leaked, pulling some of the biggest names in hip-hop and rap in: Pusha T, Vince Staples, D.R.A.M., De La Soul, and Danny Brown. Pairing with the album, the group announced their own curated festival is summer, Demon Days. While details are slim besides, the date and location, we have to assume that more are to come soon.
2017 certainly looks like it will be the year of the Gorillaz.
