Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) is a world famous e-sports tournament where gamers come together to compete to be the best in three major games, StarCraft 2, League of Legends and CS:GO. This tournament has returned to Katowice, Poland for the fifth year in a row. You may not have heard of an ‘e-tournament’ before if you aren’t into gaming, however these e-tournaments have risen in popularity recently. For this particular event in Katowice, a huge amount of money is at stake with the StarCraft and CS:GO prize fund at $250,000 and the League of Legends prize fund at $150,000. The E-league CS:GO major finals, held in Atlanta USA, received over 1 million streams on live streaming website Twitch. This was a huge achievement for the gaming community.

To branch out even more, IEM Katowice decided to invite one of the biggest stars in the electronic dance music industry to perform his world renown live DJ set and that is the mighty Hardwell. He will be performing right before the CS:GO Championship on Sunday 5th March. As well as this, Hardwell will also be revealing his brand new Twitch channel, which is another step in a different direction for him.
