Axwell’s classic “Heart Is King” turns 6 years old today

6 years ago today, Axwell released his monumental single “Heart Is King” on his very own Axtone Records imprint. The blissful progressive house track was an instant floor-filler and provided a moment of true euphoria in Axwell (and Swedish House Mafia) sets. Even after 6 long years, with so many different sub genres of dance taking the spotlight; Heart Is King is still one of the best progressive house tracks to date.

The tune was always a highlight in any DJ’s sets and was often mashed up with equally classic scores like Show Me Love and R.E.M‘s Losing My Religion. Remixes from the likes of ATB & John Galahan, DNB and Denis Sheperd turned gave Heart Is King new life and truly made a global anthem.
