Home Uncategorized Girls Love DJs talks latest release “Dynamite” on Spinnin’ Records, reveals future plans in exclusive interview

Dutch DJ & Producer – Girls Love DJs has produced an incredible drum and bass hit called ‘Dynamite‘ alongside fellow Dutch upcoming talents – Dux n Bass. Girls Love DJs recently signed a major deal with Spinnin’ Records back in February. This is another Dutch talent that Spinnin‘ have picked up and its great to see them stick to their roots by showcasing so much homegrown talent.  Spinnin‘ and Girls Love DJs have collectively chosen the collaboration with Dux N Bass to be the debut release of his career with Spinnin‘, meaning this release will be a special one.

Dynamite‘ has the ingredients to be one of the drum and bass anthems of the summer, following a similar path to Sigma’sNobody To Love‘ musically. With appealing synths and keys linked with a dominant and impressive vocal, the song builds up to an immensely catchy drop that’s memorable from the first time you hear it.

As a special treat to our readers, we managed to secure an exclusive interview with Girls Love DJs himself, which you can read below. Enjoy!

Congratulations on your latest release “Dynamite” alongside Dux n Bass! Is there a story behind the track? Can you tell us a bit about the creation process?

Thanks guys! I was working in the studio with Dux ’N Bass for another project that eventually got stranded. At one point I let them listen to the vocals of Dynamite, we immediately got inspired and created the track in no-time.

Is Drum N Bass something you would put your hands on more often in the future?

I am a huge fan of music in general, doesn’t matter if it’s in the form of house, hiphop, breakbeat or drum ‘n bass. So if I happen to be in a Drum ’n Bass kind of vibe it’s definitely possible that you hear that back in the music I produce.

What would you say is the origin of Girls Love DJs? Is there a specific meaning you connect with your artist name?

It’s actually a name that leads a legacy. Named after the much lauded parties and hosting’s at clubs and festivals all over the world. My dj sets showcases the same musical output and vibe as that of its parties, which started more than a decade ago. And to be honest, girls do love dj’s, right? 😉

Listening at your musical catalog, you often combine different genres in your tracks, the latest being a Drum N Bass single. How would you describe the typical Girls Love DJs sound and how do you want people to perceive it?

I see myself as a high energy dj with an Eclectic approach of pop music.

What can we expect from you in 2017? Where do you see yourself by the end of the year?

Hard to say of course, but I will definitely release a single with Sam Feldt and I have lot of club tracks ready to be released. Besides that, I am hosting the mainstage of Amsterdam Open Air for the seventh year in a row. Artists as Tchami, Jax Jones, MK, Sam Feldt, Dirtcaps & DOLF will be playing there this year and I will also host a stage at The Ark a four-day festival on a cruise ship!

“Dynamite” is now available on Spinnin’ Premium, check out the full track below:
