Maceo Plex announces details of upcoming album ‘Solar’
Maceo Plex (Eric Estornel) has been one of the brightest stars in underground music over the past number of years. His unique take on progressive house, deeper melodic techno and house has been a hit with fans for quite a while, and his upcoming album Solar has been highly anticipated for quite some time now. Back in November Estornel teased fans with a mini-album entitled Journey To Solar and finally it looks as though the full Solar album could be coming soon.
Speaking to Pete Tong on his Friday night show, the American producer revealed that the album should be dropping around the middle of June, meaning we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer. Discussing the timeframe to make the album, Estornel revealed that it took longer than hoped due to his touring schedule, and as for the music on the record Eric revealed that it would contain “really deep dubstep, some drum and bass, some electro” as well as “slower, beatless music” and a “mix of everything.” A live performance of the album was also teased, which could make for a really interesting show, and no doubt Eric would go all the way to put on a cracking performance.
