Nicky Romero remixes Linkin Park’s ‘Heavy’
Dutch electro and progressive house DJ Nicky Romero has been a energetic individual in the EDM scene, travelling the globe for many years and continuously delivering sensational tracks to fans all over the world. Nicky’s smash hits came in 2011 with ‘My Friend’ followed by the amazing production ‘Toulouse’ in 2012.
He then became known for collaborating with the likes of Avicii to produce the highly anticipated single ‘I Could Be The One’ which was a massive hit worldwide, and has since worked with the likes of NERVO to co-produce ‘Like Home’ and Krewella for ‘Legacy’.
One of Nicky Romero’s newest remix previews came at Ultra Music Festival in Miami when he closed the Worldwide stage on the Saturday with his beautiful and energetic set. His remix of the track ‘Heavy’ featured in the mind-blowing set, with Nicky managing to put his own melodic and electro twist on the track, giving it a wonderful progressive house feel to the build up, and injecting a tasty future bass drop.
His remix did an amazing job of complimenting the distinct vocals of Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington and the upbeat vocals of Kiiara. The remix definitely had a positive response from the crowd, and this mix is being tipped to be frequently played during the upcoming festival season, due to the nice smooth and summery vibe to the song.
