RPM Presents announces 6-acre venue on Governors Island
The mastermind behind RPM Presents and an essential figure in the New York club scene have announced a 6-acre venue on New York City’s Governors Island. Curator and orchestrator Eddie Dean and his production company RPM plan to transform the vacant location into one of the hottest music venues. The event space which sits in the Upper New York Bay will headline some of the biggest names in the electronic industry such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Tiësto, and Hardwell.
Eddie Dean is no stranger when it comes to some of the most prominent music scenes in New York. The nightlife impresario has ownership in clubs such as Brooklyn club Schimanski and the illustrious Pacha NYC. Successfully bringing electronic music to the city his newest endeavor on Governors Island is a staple characteristic to the music moguls ability. Alone in the last year, Eddie and his RPM team produced over 200 events in and around New York.
The events debut show hits the island on the 17th June this summer with headliner none other than dutch prodigy and seasoned-veteran Hardwell. Keeping with accordance and following up the next day, Carl Cox Presents: Intec Island, a surely unmissable event from the goliath household DJ. Both events are still to confirm full line ups but it can be assumed both Eddie and RPM will not disappoint.
