Ultra is among the exclusive upper echelons of music festivals in the EDM genre, and Ultra Worldwide is now expanding its global dominance with three new additions to their schedule in Oceania and Asia. Industry prognosticators placed Asia as the market for EDM to break into, with top clubs, fans vying for their favorite DJ Mag 100 artists to play shows close to home, and lucrative business potential. So it’s no surprise that Ultra will touchdown in China with a two-day edition in Shanghai on September 9-10, 2017. Tickets, venue and the lineup for the event, the first of this scale in the region, will be up soon on their website.

India sees the addition of not one, but two Road to Ultra events—New Delhi in September 2017 and Mumbai in February 2018. New Delhi’s iteration of Ultra will be held at India Exposition Mart in the area of Greater Noida; no location for the Mumbai date has been announced. Just south of India by way of the Indian Ocean, Ultra also graces Australia with a Road to Ultra appearance in Melbourne in February 2018. The exciting news for EDM fans in Oz is that Ultra’s organizers are also full-scale Ultra festivals in Australia for 2019 in Melbourne and Sydney. Ultra’s scheduled debut Down Under is capitalizes on the fact that summer happens during that time in the southern hemisphere, so fans will be raving in sunshine and warm temperatures.

If that’s not enough, Ultra Worldwide recently announced their Resistance techno brand has an eight week residency in Ibiza at the massive nightclub Privilege. Running on Tuesdays—no surprise for an island that parties every day in the summer—Resistance starts on July 25 and concludes on September 12.
