Axwell Λ Ingrosso – Renegade

With the highly anticipated release of their debut EP coming to a close, Swedish powerduo Axwell Λ Ingrosso have dropped one of the singles in the four-track EP titled ‘Renegade’ today.

Taking its influences from a classical dance background, the new single is drastically different from a typical Axwell Λ Ingrosso release. ‘Renegade’ reminisces classic french house influences such as Daft Punk and Justice, topped with an emotive vocal layer. Warm, organic synthwork and soft piano chords transform the otherwise commercial release into an emotional masterpiece capturing the essence of the duo’s artistic vision.

The remainder of the EP, titled ‘More Than You Know’, will be releasing on the 24th of May, a move that fans have been awaiting for many years. The three other tracks include Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s peak-time mainstage weapon ‘How Do You Feel Right Now’, their heavily melodic  single ‘Dawn’ (previously known as the ‘Terminal 5 ID’), and of course, the title track ‘More Than You Know’, which focuses on a more commercial audience.
