Balaton Sound brings their beachfront rave back to Hungary
Balaton Sound returns to the suburbs of Budapest this year with a lakeside festival this July 5-9 at the beautiful Lake Balaton in Zamárdi, Hungary. With a capacity of 150,000, and last year’s attendance just shy of a sell-out, this amazing Central European festival is a must-see for the summer.
Two kilometers of beach front space provide a captivating setting for raving all day and night to your favorite electronic dance music acts, including world famous DJs Afrojack, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Galantis, KSHMR, Kygo, Marshmello, Tiësto, and Zedd.
These artists are joined by a vast array of talent representing every sub-genre of EDM. If that’s not enough of an enticement, Balaton Sound also caters to the hip-hop genre with rap performances by G-Eazy, Jason Derulo, and many others.
Balaton Sound takes advantage of the natural beauty of its location, and the host town of Zamárdi hosts beachside lounges, bars, restaurants and more to enjoy the experience, as well as accommodation in campgrounds or rooms for rent.
Five-day passes run 210 euros, while a four-day pass is 185 euro, available on the website. Festival organizer Sziget Cultural Management makes it easy for fans to attend by offering shuttle service for the hour-long bus route from Budapest to the beach resort.
Watch last year’s aftermovie to see what’s in store when attending Balaton, from beach games, to a Ferris wheel, to even a pirate-themed ferry boat disco.
