Calvin Harris feat. Future & Khalid – Rollin

After Motion released in October 2014, Calvin Harris fans have been eagerly awaiting his next studio album. His latest album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 is set to be released just around the corner, at the end of June. To help build anticipation for the release, Harris has been releasing tracks from the album. After releasing ‘Slide’ featuring Frank Ocean and Migos and ‘Heatstroke’ featuring Young Thug, Pharrell, and Ariana Grande, Harris’ third single ‘Rollin’ has dropped, pairing with rapper Future and R&B vocalist Khalid.

When fans heard about the return of Calvin Harris to the studio, they must not have anticipated a return like this. The British sensation who is known for his poppy records like ‘We Found Love,’ ‘This is What You Came For,’ and ‘Feel So Close’ has shifted his stylings, pairing with rap and R&B sounds to create a new sound for followers. The rhythmic beat pairs incredibly well with the funky synth work, creating a groove that suits the upcoming summer weather perfectly. Additionally, the alternating verses from Khalid and Future complement each other extremely well, moving from Khalid’s soothing voice to Future’s autotoned raps. Harris’s new sound illustrates his impeccable production chops, pulling in a stellar supporting cast to feature on his records.
