Don Diablo showcases the ‘Echoes’ theme song from upcoming Kill Switch movie

Joining the ranks of Skrillex among other such production virtuoso of the industry, Don Diablo has exclusively released the theme track from the upcoming Kill Switch movie. The track was produced by Don Diablo after being approached by the production teamof the Kill Switch movie and Don admits that since the movie was to be shot in his hometown of Amsterdam, he wasted no time in taking up the offer. In an exclusive bit from the official YouTube upload, Don comments on this venture:

When I was approached to make the theme song for the first ever sci-fi film set in my hometown Amsterdam, I immediately said yes. The project had been over six years in the making so I wanted to do it justice and also saw this as an opportunity to show another, more personal, side of myself. After several discussions with director Tim Smit about the film I locked myself in the studio for several days in a row and eventually walked out with “Echoes”. Though the record is solely intended for use in the film it’s actually now got a special place in my live shows as well. The track will be added to my forthcoming album on all platforms at a later date. For now I decided to put the focus and spotlight on the release of the video, since the film is such an essential part to the final project. In the music video you can also get a little taste of my forthcoming live-show.

The track features a bass infused foundation over which Don does his magic behind the microphones – delivering a soothing vocal layover. Detailing of the track almost makes it closer to an Outrun track but the real catch of the track lies in how it mashes it all up. Wonderful vocals, a thrilling foundation that keeps you on the edge of your seat and the essential surreal acoustics that the Kill Switch theme required – ‘Echoes’ seems to be the best fit for the upcoming Kill Switch release.

The track will presumably be part of the OST album of the movie.
