Monumental Ushuaïa Opening Party prepares to kick off Ibiza 2017 season

Right from their early days on the island at the turn of the decade, Ushuaïa has long been an Ibiza venue admired for the unique open-air experience it can provide dance music fans with. A vibe like no other, Ushuaïa came along at the perfect time, spotting a gap in the market to give ravers events like never before. With the warm summer air brushing over the crowd, sensual poolside dancers, and situated perfectly within the vibrant nightlife of the Playa d’en Bossa area, Ushuaïa has become the lynchpin of nightlife on the white isle.

Now, with the 2017 Ibiza season on the horizon, and excitement building to feverish levels, the famous beach hotel is preparing to open their doors once more, with the official Ushuaïa opening party 2017 truly marking the start of a summer that truly promises to be the biggest in Ibiza history. A chamber of unrivalled decadence, Ushuaïa’s iconic location, set upon miles of sandy beach – a regular hotspot for sunrise-seeking ravers leaving clubs at dawn – is always an attraction to guests visiting the island, as well as the luxurious rooms on offer at the hotel, including the iconic Anything Can Happen suite.

Famed for their stellar DJ line-ups, with a main stage that has hosted the likes of Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, and Avicii over the years, 2017 is no different for the complex with the likes of Martin Garrix, David Guetta, and Kygo all scheduled for residencies. And Saturday 27th May is proving a key date to mark in the diary, as the likes of Eats Everything, Steve Lawler and Andrea Oliva take to the decks to get the 2017 season off to a flying start, with Andrea stating:

“Playing the opening party is always a special feeling! There is a certain excitement in the air which you can hardly explain. When you step up on that stage, its the moment you feel the energy of the crowd! Playing in front of a massive audience like this is for sure one of the highlights of the year!”

They’ll be joined by UNER, one of the most important names of the new generation of DJs and producers. His background in production as well as being a clasically trained musician, has encourged him to incorporate both passions into a new concept to combine both his DJ set and a live act. His set up is constantly evolving, and has gained much respect from names such as Luciano and Carl Cox for this very reason. And the Spaniard was quick to tell us of his excitement, stating:

“I really love to play at Ushuaïa, its a magical place where music is combined with the sun, for one of the best day time parties on the island, which then carries on though the amazing sunset and into the night – it has it all! It is incredible to spend the afternoon in the DJ booth they have there, playing to the all the people and feeling their energy and happiness. After being an ANTS resident for so many years, this is considered one of the most important parties on the island, and when they have their opening and closing parties – wow! It really is something special, which has left me with so many unforgettable moments.”

David Squillace will go b2b with Martin Buttrich at the event, and both were also keen to stress that this is no ordinary venue to play, with Davide telling us:

“I have always had an amazing time when I play at Ushuaïa, but what really gets my insides bubbling is when the you hear the explosion of fireworks during the peak of a sick track!”

With Martin adding:

“I’ve played at Ushuaïa a few times and there are great memories, I can’t drill it right down to one, but the atmosphere there has always been electric, it is such a vibrant crowd and the setting is really special, particularly around sunset. I am looking forward to returning!”

One of the key elements Ushuaïa boasts in comparison to rival clubs such as Pacha and Amnesia is the ability to host daytime events, with this party being no different.
