Premiere: Blasterjaxx – Savage

Returning with a bang after the stupendous XX Files collection blew our minds earlier this year, Dutch duo Blasterjaxx are back, this time debuting XX Files – Festival Edition. The pair, comprising of Thom Jongkind and Idir Makhlaf, deliver the first taste of this upcoming collection of big room tracks in the form of huge new single, ‘Savage’.

A classy production which showcases the talent of the pair, synth plucks are layered with low end grumbles before a reverbed melody builds the track and helps send the release into overdrive. Laced with a seductive French vocal, the signature Blasterjaxx hook send this track into a big-room frenzy with claps adding another level of intensity before the main breakdown. For fans of the duo, ‘Savage‘ marks a mesmerizing marker of their journey to the big-room elite, where they now firmly sit among the very best.

Having already debuted the release at the Kingsday celebrations in their native Netherlands, the production was given a warm reception from the bouncing crowd, on a jam-packed afternoon when Thom played three gigs over the course of the same day.
