2-time Grammy Award nominee Steve Aoki has taken to his Instagram account to announce a new collaboration with American Singer/Songwriter Halsey and Korean boy band Bangtan Boys. Halsey, who collaborated with The Chainsmokers last year on ‘Closer‘ which went platinum in 13 different countries (including a Diamond certification in Poland) is no stranger to successful collaborations. Meanwhile, the Bangtan Boys have been having successes of their own, receiving the ‘Top Social Artists’ award at the Billboard Music Awards this year.
Steve Aoki, who has had enormous success on his own, has done a number of collaborations with Kid Ink, Migos and 2 Chainz, and is set to explore new horizons with this new, unique crossover with Halsey & BTS. Aoki also announced that he would be working on a track with Blink 182 which will feature on his upcoming Album ‘Kolony’.
Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Frangipane, chose her moniker as a reference to Halsey Street Station in New York, as well as being an anagram of her real name. Meanwhile, BTS were formed after the group’s first members auditioned for a Korean TV show called ‘Hit It’ in 2010 and 2011.
Although nothing has been specified yet, feel free to explore Steve’s social media as details arrive.
