Standing as the second release under Blasterjaxx’s power label Maxximize, the duo gift us with their 7-track volume: XX Files (Festival Addition). The follow-up since XX Files, Festival Addition has been turning heads since its release earlier this week. Compiled of all the boundless production risks we’ve grown to love from the Dutch duo, this proceeding album has all the right ammo to secure main stage play this festival year.
From start to finish, the new EP truly highlights the group’s message: Music is our religion! All different in their own way, the album incorporates heavy drops, strong builds, and an over-all aesthetic of power-house music. The first single off the EP “070”, is a heavy percussion track full of popping bass and plucking synth work. Following is their most vocal dominate release, “Do Or Die” ft. Lara. then their hit “Savage” which has surpassed the 700K play mark. Up Next are tracks “Seth” and “Thunderdrums”, both heavy-hitters with an unbelievably powerful energy. Melodically chimed “Voodoo” takes the spot of number 6, all concluding to “Charge”, a fierce single helping keep the EP strong to the very end.
Steadily building their empire with a three-tiered Maxximize revolution, watch out for the duo’s radio spot, events, and record label. Take a listen to Blasterjaxx full EP XX Files (Festival Edition) below, and let us know what you think in the comments.
