Calvin Harris – Feels (feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Big Sean)

Scottish DJ/Producer Calvin Harris has been teasing his fans almost to the point of unfairness in recent times. After announcing earlier this that his new album ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1‘ became available for pre-order via an album teaser video, Harris’ social media has since blown up! However, this time he’s gone one step further, following the decision to release another single from his star-studded album.

The track, titled ‘Feels‘ features multi-platinum record selling singer/songwriters Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry, as well as rapper Big Sean. However, this isn’t the first song from the album that Calvin has decided to release. Tracks such as ‘Slide‘, ‘Heatstroke‘ & ‘Rollin’‘ have all been met with excellent reviews.

Calvin Harris, whose real name is Adam Wiles, has received great support upon his recent exploration of his new found sound. His new Funk-inspired album appears to draw inspiration from the 70’s; the era of which Funk music was at its peak. ‘Feels’ especially draws inspiration from this era. Upon listening closely, distinct undertones from Earth, Wind & Fire‘s ‘Let’s Groove‘ can be identified. Despite being a much more downtempo track, the bassline appears to sound quite similar.
