Premiere: EDX – Voyage

Not many artists are fortunate and talented enough to create music for an extended period of time, let alone multiple decades. Maurizio Colella, better known by his producing alias EDX, is one of those artists who has officially been a staple in the dance music scene for a quarter of a century. As a celebration of this incredible milestone, EDX just released his brand new summer tune “Voyage,” which is out now via Enormous Tunes and marks Colella’s 7th release of the 2017 calendar year.

EDX has been known to produce across a multitude of house genres in creating some of the best summer anthems for the last 2 decades and “Voyage” continues that streak. The track moves from a soothing melody into a beat drop that features some of his iconic basslines that he incorporates in nearly every production. While it is considerably longer than most releases today in addition to EDX’s past singles, “Voyage” proves to be an appropriate title as it takes you all over the house music spectrum.

In talking about his inspiration and thoughts behind the single and how it differs from his previous work, Collela had this to say:

“The track is much deeper and longer than usual. It’s actually a journey between the different genres of music that I’ve explored as EDX. It celebrates my love for travelling through sound, the wanderlust, the voyage.”
