Finishing in the sunny lagoon of the Stella Maris Resort in the Croatian town of Umag, Exit‘s brand-new Sea Star Festival provided a four-day unforgettable experience filled with spectacular performances and endless energy. The festival presented some of the most important names in the world across six different stages.

There was an instant high interest in the new festival as Sea Star tripled its capacity from the get-go. The Croatian-based festival doubled their number of festival zones as 50,000 visitors from over 70 countries passed through the gates over the May weekend. Thanks to the team behind the acclaimed Serbian Exit Festival, Sea Star resulted in becoming one the largest sea festivals in Europe.

The lagoon proved a wonderful home for music as multi-instrumentalist and music producer Fatboy Slim delivered his mind-blowing ‘so-much-more-than-electric’ set demonstrating why the living legend is still at the top of his game. Electric music group Prodigy engulfed the authentic Exit spirit to Umag with a spectacular performance for the euphoric audience of Sea Star. Modestep provided the surging energy of the audience with their performance as Pendulum proved why the Australian band is at the forefront of the drum and bass genre.

The rhymes and melodies of Spiller anthem ‘Groovejet’ left the audience dancing under the open skies as Berlin’s techno hero Paul Kalkbrenner‘s performance at the grand finale took the festival and the audience into the sunrise. The festival drew more music from the talent pool as performances included Artan Lili, Elemental, Kawasaki 3p, and much more.

Sea Star festival was the first of four in Exit’s Summer of Love. Take a look at the opening party for Sea Star Festival below and check out the remaining festivals in Exit’s Summer of Love here.
