If you have tried generating revenue from the plays on your SoundCloud channel it is likely you have heard of The Repost Network. In the last two year’s they’ve grown to become one of the largest networks on SoundCloud boasting thousands of artist and label partners all of which they help make money on SoundCloud via collecting on advertising and SoundCloud Go subscription revenues.

After SoundCloud, they set their sights on traditional distribution to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Beatport, and more. Jeff Ponchick, Founder of Repost, says:

“We were working with so many amazing artists on SoundCloud and noticed a majority of their music wasn’t being represented on other platforms. Revenue was slipping through the cracks so expanding into distribution was an obvious next step for us at Repost.”

Most music distributors like Tunecore or Distrokid have one-size fits all approaches to music distribution, meaning they are catered towards a getting your music into stores primarily for digital download. Once you’re music is in the platform, they aren’t of much help afterwards.

However, with streaming revenues recently eclipsing digital downloads, a unique opportunity has emerged. What makes Spotify special isn’t the same as what makes YouTube special and so on. Repost Network’s strategy is to focus on the few streaming platforms that matter most and give their artists the monetization, content protection, and promotional tools to get the most out of said platforms. This leads to services like Spotify playlist

This leads to services like Spotify playlist pitching, featured profile and banner-click throughs on SoundCloud, and a robust YouTube Content ID offering.
