Ibiza’s legendary summer season begins with the famed White Isle’s opening parties at all its iconic nightclubs, and Ushuaïa Ibiza continues to make a name for itself with this year’s opening party. Most parties at Ibiza’s nightclubs capitalize on the glorious beauty of the setting Mediterranean sun, and Ushuaïa’s opening night was no exception: music and dancing started in the afternoon and lasted until 2 am, transforming the outdoor club from a poolside party to sleek clubbing experience after sunset.
Openers included Raul Rodriguez, Francisco Allendes, and a B2B session with Davide Squillace and Martin Buttrich. After Uner and Eats Everything, the prime sunset spot belonged to German DJ Paul Kalkbrenner. Dazzling audiovisual elements, production and pyrotechnics, accompanied him and closing DJ Andrea Oliva.
Behind the scenes, Ushuaïa is on the forefront of using technology and production to guarantee an unforgettable club-going experience for partiers flying into the Balearic Islands from around the world. Lighting, lasers, video screens, and a state of the art sound system would be more than enough anywhere else, but the number one open air club takes it to the next level. Confetti, streamers, flames and fog enhanced every aspect of the night, during the poolside dance floor into a veritable rave.
The opening party was just the beginning, with Ushuaïa institution ANTS returning for the Saturday session throughout the summer: the colony invades Ibiza from 3 June to 20 September.
