Calvin Harris releases instrumental version of Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1 album

As the highest earning DJ in world music right now, Calvin Harris is an artist who sits at the top of the EDM tree, with promoters from far and near desperate to get Harris on the bill at their club or festival. The Brit, famed for huge releases and collaborations with the likes of Rihanna, has changed up his style in recent times, and has now released an instrumental version of new album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1.

The release, which sees the Scottish producer move way from his signature huge dance-pop sound, witnesses a move to a move chilled, pool-party vibe, with slower BPM, and hip-hop influences from the likes of Snoop Dogg. Now, Calvin has decided to release the instrumental versions of each one of his songs from the album to YouTube.

These tracks are sure to be played over and over at festivals all across the world this summer, so whether you’re a producer looking for a new bootleg, or just want to try your hand at Calvin Harris karaoke, you can check out the releases via the popular video website, starting with smash hit ‘Slide‘ featuring – or in this case, NOT featuring – Frank Ocean:
