Martin Garrix one of several artists to praise Kygo in upcoming documentary
It is no secret that Kygo’s raise to stardom has been nothing short of spectacular. So much so, that Apple Music have decided to look back on his journey and turn it into a movie documentary titled ‘Stole The Show’. Set to be released on July 26th, it looks at his roots into dance music and the building of his tropical house empire. Having sold out arenas all over the world, his music has also gone on to break streaming records on the likes of Spotify and YouTube.
As well as insights from the man himself, the documentary gets the opinions of some of the biggest names in music, from both inside and outside the dance scene. Dutch youngster Martin Garrix offers his praise for the Norwegian producer, who says Kygo is a “genius” when it comes to his chord progressions and melodies, claiming that he is “So much bigger than EDM.” Steve Aoki and U2 frontman Bono also offer their support for what Kygo has achieved in his career, whilst his manager Myles Shear explains how their partnership came about.
Check out the trailer for the documentary ahead of the full movie release this week.
