Russia’s largest export when it comes to dance music is undoubtedly the multi-talented Shapov. With a career spanning almost a decade, the former part of which he was the leading member of explosive duo Hard Rock Sofa, the young Russian supertalent has been making waves in the scene in the past few years. His most notorious track to date remains his epic collaboration with Axwell called ‘Belong’, as well as ‘Party People’ and ‘Everybody’ with mentees Meg / Nerak.

Taking his ‘future rave’ sound to the mainstage of Tomorrowland for the first time ever, Shapov pulls off a stunning performance, opening with a brand new ID as his intro. The star proceeds to drop fan favorites such as ‘Arms Around Me’ from his Hard Rock Sofa days and his progressive house masterpiece ‘Some People’. A few classics grace the stage as well, such as the Steve Angello, An21 and Max Vangeli remix of Pendulum‘s ‘The Island’, Alesso‘s timeless remix of ‘If I Lose Myself’, and Dubvision‘s ‘Turn It Around’.

Shapov’s set was truly one of the festival’s most eclectic sets of the weekend, featuring everything from trap to bass house to sweet, sweet progressive melodies. Check out the full set below and let us know what you think!
