TomorrowWorld may return for 2018 edition according to organizers
As the second weekend of Tomorrowland 2017 comes to a close today, we received some interesting news regarding its sister festival TomorrowWorld, which takes place in the United States. In a recent interview with a local Belgian news outlet, it was confirmed that talks have been in place between LiveStyle and Tomorrowland for a potential return of TomorrowWorld in 2018.
If you did not remember, the U.S. based festival suffered a disastrous experience in 2015 when it faced poor weather conditions that resulted in extreme turmoil for festival goers. Not long after, the organizing company SFX filed for bankruptcy and LiveStyle was formed from the remains of the SFX foundation. LiveStyle was confirmed to have signed a brand new contract with the Tomorrowland festival in hopes of taking its brand to more locations in the upcoming years.
Tomorrowland spokesman Debby Wilmsen spoke on the speculation regarding the return of TomorrowWorld.
“The relations between SFX and Tomorrowland were acidified, but now that new people are in control of the current LiveStyle, there is a new approach.”
At the moment, it is still very unclear on whether or not TomorrowWorld will return once again in 2018 as a festival of that magnitude is extremely difficult to pull together in a short of amount of time. Be sure to check back with us as more information is revealed in the upcoming months as the Tomorrowland organizers begin to think ahead following the closing of their 2017 edition.
