Zedd announces release date for Liam Payne collaboration ‘Get Low’
Zedd‘s newest single ‘Get Low‘ features erstwhile One Direction member Liam Payne and will is announced to be released this Friday, July 6.
Payne is already an accomplished songwriter, singer, instrumentalist and producer himself from his days with 1D, and the German DJ and producer Zedd is responsible for some of pop and dance music’s biggest hits, including his own ‘Stay‘ with Alessia Cara. Therefore, ‘Get Low‘ truly qualifies as a collaboration between two legitimate musicians.
Payne’s work with Zedd is not his first time crossing over into electronic dance music. Previously, he remixed several of his One Direction tracks under the moniker Big Payno, including a version of ‘Drag Me Down‘ released on Tiësto‘s deep house AFTR:HRS label, and work with his now-wife Cheryl, a British pop star.
Other members of 1D to venture into EDM include Louis Tomlinson, whose single ‘Just Hold On‘ with Steve Aoki became a worldwide smash hit.
The new single features beautiful artwork, with a simple aesthetic and font surrounding a pond lined with red tree. Perhaps this signals the single will be an emotive ballad, or it could be an EDM banger. Either way, fans of both Zedd and One Direction’s Liam Payne will discover a sure-to-be hit single this Friday when it is released.
