Many of the big DJ’s these days don’t shy away from experimenting with different sounds other than the type of beats that led them to their glory days. Hardwell is no exception to that, as the Dutch superstar DJ had a numerous flirts with the hardstyle genre, which is extremely popular in his home country of the Netherlands. Besides, he even took to hip-hop and Moombah at EDC Las Vegas in 2015.

But It doesn’t stop there for Hardwell, who’s now apparently exploring his deeper and techy’er side, surprising fans in Ibiza with a sound we hadn’t really heard from him before. At famous Café Mambo on San Antonio’s sunset strip, he took his spot behind the decks to treat the crowd on the White Isle to an hour long deep- and tech-house set! Fans responded in awe, as some of them would surely expect this from Café Mambo’s resident Eric Prydz and his techno alter ego Cirez D, but perhaps not from EDM- and big room giant Hardwell.

The set was recorded tor his ‘Hardwell On Air – Off The Record’ series, and included some of Hardwell’s own favorite deep house and tech-house tracks of the moment, as well as a couple of special remixes to his all-time favorite classics. Hardwell’s track selection is simply superb, mixing in Underworld’s ‘Born Slippy’, Green Velvet’s ‘La La Land’ and a very special Funkerman bootleg of trance classic ‘The Age of Love’ by The Age of Love, to name a few. It once again proves that the world’s former number 1 DJ can do just about anything!
