Kölsch announces release date of third and final autobiographical album ‘1989’
The wait for Kölsch’s next album looks to be soon over after the Danish producer announced that his third LP would be getting a release next month. The album is entitled 1989 and like the two preceding records, the title refers to an important year in the DJs early youth.
Dropping on 22nd September, 1989 comes as the third and final record in the Dane’s autobiographical album trilogy. Kölsch chose the year 1989 as it was a “difficult time in my life” during which his parents were divorcing. To cope with as he describes the “greyness of it all”, the romantic-techno maestro turned to music. The album features 13 tracks, with a couple entitled ‘Grey’ in a number of different languages. There are also numerous collaborations including Gregor Schwellenbach with whom Kölsch has worked with before, as well as the vocalist Aurora.
The album announcement also came alongside an accompanying list of tour dates with the Dane playing live on a few dates. Judging by how the previous two albums went we are expecting nothing but brilliance from Kölsch’s latest LP effort.
