Swedish DJ & producer Marcus Schössow has held a long list of accomplishments throughout his career, being a recurring presence on some of dance music’s most prestigious labels such as Size Records, Axtone, Spinnin’, and Refune over the last few years, as well as having a thriving career in the trance scene prior to that. In addition, the birth of his imprint Code Red Music in 2015 gave a home to a flurry of young, upcoming talents such as David Pietras, Magnificence, and Corey James, pushing them forward to the forefront of the rapidly evolving electronic dance music scene.

Early last year Marcus embarked on a different musical journey with his productions, taking on a deeper, more melodic stance to the usual mainroom groovy style his fans were used to. Best described as “melodic techno”, his new production style sparked the attention of many and soon became an increasingly popular sound amongst older and newer fans alike. Having been invited as a guest on Steve Angello‘s BBC Radio One Residency in 2016, Schössow took that opportunity to continue dispersing his newly-discovered sound to the masses.

After a relatively short hiatus, Marcus Schössow is back with a massive relaunch of Code Red, led by a brand new single from himself titled “Rumble”. The title describes it all, a striking seismic overhaul of the deep melodic sound that has developed into Schössow’s signature sound, tinged with a glorious anthemic flair. The track’s regal horns and dark, driving basslines announce, with grandeur, that Code Red and Marcus Schössow are back once again, and are here to stay.

Listen to the new single ‘Rumble‘ in its entirety below, premiered exclusively on We Rave You, out today via Code Red.
