Did Tigerlily unveil an upcoming collaboration with Avicii?

Australian DJ Tigerlily (whose real name is Dara Hayes) has sent fans into a frenzy after teasing a collaboration with legendary Swedish DJ/Producer Avicii. While it’s been no secret that Avicii would continue to release music after his retirement from touring, this has definitely come out of left field.

Tigerlily, whose 2015 single ‘Paradise‘ peaked at #63 on the Australian ARIA charts, also worked on a collaboration with former ‘The Cataracs producer KSHMR. While their track ‘Invisible Children‘ did exceptionally well by peaking at #1 on the overall Beatport chart, it raised many questions in regards to Tigerlily’s contribution toward the track’s production, as KSHMR’s signature ethnic Indian sound, was evidently intertwined throughout the track.

Tigerlily’s collaboration with Avicii however, may silence the doubters. A video posted on her Instagram, shows Dara relaxing poolside when she opens a box to which the viewer sees blacked out text, followed by the Avicii logo. While the implication that a collaboration is imminent, is heavily implied, the following caption was included:

“What’s in the box??? 🤔🤔🤔 Sharing the love through music… something very exciting is coming soon… #avicii2017 💓💓💓🌴🌴🌴”

Although the track in the video below clearly boasts Avicii’s signature sound and song structure, some faint characteristics of Tigerlily’s sound can be distinguished.
