We Rave You Weekly Selections on Spotify (11th August)
Mid way through August and we have another fresh round of releases to extend your summer. Like every other week, we’ve put together the hottest releases of late on our Spotify Weekly Selections playlist. From established industry heavyweights to quickly rising prodigies; we have music coming at you from all angles.
Starting off with the biggest news, Swedish legend, Avicii is back and kicking around with his signature sound. Releasing a massive 5 track EP, Tim Bergling has officially broken his hiatus after quitting touring for indefinitely last year. The releases have a distinct ‘avicii-ish’ sound, combining elements of pop, deep house and folk music.
This week has also seen a flow of releases from our beloved artists in the progressive house & big room scene (albeit a lot of them have deviated from their 2012-14, sounds). Julian Calor, Hardwell, Third Party, Arias, Tritonal and Vicetone have all released top class originals that deserve a listen or two.
In the tech-house / deep-house spectrum, we have stellar productions from Oliver Heldens as HI-LO with ‘Alien Technology‘, a collaboration with Alok; EDX dropping a solo produced anthem in ‘Daybreak‘ and BBC’s Danny Howard with ‘Extra Trippy‘.
