This weekend, Amsterdam Dance Event is hosting a plethora of headliner DJs at the Hangout Festival. Held at De Brakke Gronde, the ADE Hangout Festival will play host to the likes of Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, Maceo Plex, and Ricardo Villalobos. With the creation of this new event on ADE’s schedule, it continues to position itself as the place to be for the dance music industry.
A brand new venture by the longstanding and venerable ADE, the festival seeks to bring the best of summer festivals to the top industry event. Daytime events include a feature with none other than DJ Mag top 100 winner Martin Garrix, as well as a speaker series including a member of Russian punk protest act Pussy Riot. Techno fans will be delighted with the Awakenings brand on the schedule.
ADE is the largest nightclub festival and a very important industry conference held every year in the Netherlands. This year, 2500 performers will gather at 140 performance spaces with 550 speakers about all aspects of the dance music industry.
Every year, major players in the dance music industry gather in at ADE to keep current with technology and branding information and to preview upcoming artists and the output of dance music’s superstars. It began in 1996 and has since evolved into the foremost event of its type, with the announcement of the DJ Mag 100 winners taking place a several years of the convention.
