Arty – Supposed To Be

Enjoying huge success on his single ‘Idea Of You‘ with Eric Nam back in June, Russian musician Arty is back with his latest track ‘Supposed To Be’. Having been immersed in music from a young age, Arty’s attention to detail and production abilities knows no boundaries with his latest single demonstrating just that.

‘Supposed To Be’ opens on a low key and clean guitar melody followed by soft vocals as they invite the listener to embark on a journey of discovery following the loss of somebody. As the track develops, strong percussive notes and complex rhythms define the emotional yet empowering tone as the chorus brings the track to its pinnacle point outlining how sometimes an end can bring about new beginnings. On producing the track Arty explains:

“Working on this record was an unbelievable experience. The lyrics are so meaningful and powerful that I wanted to make sure that all of the instruments I was using were reflecting the overall significance of the song. We all go through the tough moments in our life when we lose purpose, get stuck in the past, and don’t see how to move on. At these points, we need to remember that God is smiling on us and we have so many reasons to live.”

Arty’s newest track sees its release on STMPD RCRDS as the DJ joins a small group of artists chosen by Dutch Prodigy Martin Garrix to release on the ever expanding label. Other artists include English songwriter Conor Maynard and Canadian Producer, Conro.
