The Chainsmokers reveal first official Tommy Hilfiger campaign photo

The latest interesting hype of artists becoming fashion models doesn’t appear to come to a close anytime soon. In June of this year, word came out that Grammy-winning EDM duo The Chainsmokers were named the new brand ambassadors for Tommy Hilfiger. For Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, the major fashion deal means another step forward in their efforts to seek even more global expansion after already dominating the charts for a number of years.

With the deal, both The Chainsmokers and Tommy Hilfiger keep up with the growing trend of major fashion brands tying the knots with famous popular DJ’s. Italian fashion house Emporio Armani just recently presented none other than world’s number 1 DJ Martin Garrix as the ambassador for their fall/winter campaign, Garrix herewith succeeding Calvin Harris as the showpiece for the Armani brand. The news followed the announcement of fellow DJ/producer Diplo, who also signed a major modeling contract with Next Management just this spring.

Hilfiger sheds light on the deal:

“Alex and Drew are at the center of modern pop culture and their music resonates with a global audience. They are truly the perfect definition of today’s Tommy Guy — their talent, optimism, unique sound and effortless cool have made them stand out in the music world. We’re extremely excited to work with them in the fashion space.”

At Hilfiger, The Chainsmokers follow in the footsteps of Rafael Nadal, currently again the world’s best tennis player, who stripped down to his underwear on many big billboards worldwide for the brand’s underwear line. Luckily for Alex and Drew they are the faces of Hilfiger’s fall/winter clothing collection, meaning they get to keep their clothes on, as summer is pretty much over on their end of the globe!
