Özgür Can – Left 2 Dry EP

The relaunch of Marcus Schossow‘s Code Red imprint last month has sparked a new beginning for the label and its direction, which has furthermore been strengthened with its latest offering: a brand new EP from fellow Swede and former deep house and techno legend Özgür Can. 

The ‘Left 2 Dry’ EP celebrates the heavily underground sound Özgür draws his influences from, featuring two tracks quite different from each other, but in a complementary manner. The title track ‘Left 2 Dry’ presents the deeper, melodic take Özgür’s last few releases have displayed, with a groovy bassline and mellow sounds. ‘Left 2 Dust’, the second track of the EP, takes on a more ruthless approach, with seismic basslines, raw synths, and an energetic, pounding groove.

Özgür Can is no newcomer to the scene, having a quite a long history of heavily supported releases on well-established labels such as Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats and Sebjak’s Bibliotheque under his belt, to name a few.
