This week’s Spinnin’ Sessions sees Autoerotique and BROHUG taking the helm of the Guest Mix, for episode 227 in the series. The DJ set from the pair follows up last week’s edition that saw Bob Sinclair featured in the guest mix. Autoerotique and BROHUG deliver bass-heavy bass music in their installment of the elite label’s podcast. Bass inflected house music took festivals by storm this year, pairing weighty synths with mainstage booming, clattering drops. We Rave You is honored to premiere their contribution to the guest mix this week.

Autoerotique and BROHUG’s own track ‘Brains‘ opens their set, followed by BROHUG’s hefty single ‘Guerilla‘. Skrillex‘ track ‘VIP‘ follows the booming bass of this one-two punch, assailing the senses with the dubstep king’s frenetic energy. Skrillex appears again later in the mix with his humorously-titled track ‘Chicken Soup‘. BROHUG adds his track ‘If I’m Wrong‘ and later satisfies fans of drops with the slow build of Odd Mob’s ‘Belter‘. The set closes on a high note with the sirens and distorted bass of JOYRYDE‘s ‘I Ware House‘.

BROHUG revealed his intentions in crafting the Spinnin’ Sessions mix:

“We want to deliver you some bass, that’s what this mix is about. The Ace in the mix is of course ‘Brains’, it’s been doing some serious damage to the dance floors this summer!”

Elsewhere in the podcast, the beautiful summery bass of Alok and Mathieu Koss‘ ‘Big Jet Plane‘ delivers emotive tropical house, followed by ‘Lost Tonight‘ by Lexer, which has flashes of Avicii’s breakout hit ‘Levels‘.

Autoerotique told us about what life on tour has been like:

“In the last couple months I’ve been to Tokyo, China, Mexico, hit up various states and played some great Canadian cities. I also got to work on some new tracks and met some really inspiring new artists. It’s been a wild ride!”

And BROHUG told us about his own upcoming work:

“We just had an EP  out on Dim Mak called ‘The Streets’ and three huge remixes this summer for Major Lazer, Martin Garrix and Martin Solveig. Tchami has a new track out this month on his latest compilation. Festivals like Electric Zoo, HARD LA, Sun City Music Festival have been amazing.”
