Home Uncategorized Steve Aoki creates Linkin Park mashup in memory of Chester Bennington

Just over a month ago, iconic singer and Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington tragically took his own life inside of his house. There has been tremendous support of the band from the dance music community following the devastating news, especially from Steve Aoki, who had previously collaborated with the legendary band. His two singles featuring Linkin Park “Darker Than Blood” and “A Light That Never Comes” were absolute hits as they combined the best of both worlds in both the dance and alternative music genres.

Steve Aoki took the death extremely close to heart and has been very vocal following Chester’s passing these last couple months in how grateful he was to work with him. He wanted to pay homage to the late vocalist and has finally shared with us what he had in the works. Aoki mashed up the two aforementioned singles into one mega-mashup entitled “Darker Than The Light That Never Bleeds (Chester Forever Steve Aoki Remix).” The mashup blends the two singles in an absolutely euphoric manner, bringing back a lot of nostalgic memories from over the last decade. All money raised from those who purchase the song will have their contributions go towards the Music For Relief foundation, which was founded by Linkin Park back in 2005.

In the description of the mashup, Aoki had some heartfelt words to add.

“My tribute to Chester Bennington. I miss you dear friend. You are in our hearts and minds forever. Chester Forever. Net proceeds of my remix will go to music For Relief’s One More Light Fund in Chester’s name.”

Stream the incredible mashup below and let us know what you think.
