To be at the forefront of EDM, as with any market relevant product, it seems these days hard work and talent are merely an entry point. Sure, passion and love for your art is an essential key to producing music that relates with your crowd in a deep and long lasting manner. But to remain relevant within a society that chases instant gratification, artists now have a far greater responsibility, and while EDM has never been more popular or accessible, the challenge of consistently evolving to remaining relevant has never been more difficult. Leading the way in what seems an almost impossible task, Dutch DJ/Producer, Tiësto has continually rolled with the punches, learning to not only adapt but thrive.
With a list of accolades that greatly outshines DJ’s half his age, the Dutch Maestro who is rapidly approaching 50, seems more relevant than ever before. Having consistently been at the very top of any conceivable poll for literally a lifetime, the Breda native continues to release new music at an alarming pace. Following his massively successful ‘Club Life’ compilations, he has announced the release of a 5th addition to the series that undoubtedly introduced fans to his current big room sound.
Showcasing a tribute to the music that rocked crowds during his DJ residency in Nevada, Vol. 1 in the series would prove to be yet another successful venture within the acute talents of the Dutch superstar. With the release of ‘Club Life Vol. 5’, he aims to ‘capture the spirit of my experiences in China’. Following his mammoth set at Creamfields in the UK, this year, fans will be eagerly expecting the compilation which includes collaborations with KSHMR, Vassy, Dzeko, Diplo and John Christian, who worked with Tiësto on a brand new piece of EDM magic, in the form of ‘Scream’. ‘Club Life Vol. 5’ is scheduled for release on Musical Freedom Fall of 2017. The album will further be supported by an upcoming tour of China.
