Linkin Park – One More Light (Steve Aoki Chester Forever Remix)
Paying tribute to his close friend, Chester Bennington, American DJ and producer Steve Aoki has unveiled his remix of Linkin Park‘s ‘One More Night’, labelling the reworking as his ‘Chester Forever Mix’. The track follows the recent show Linkin Park held in honour and memory of Chester, their recently passed lead singer, who died in July 2017.
Holding the event as a celebration of life for Chester, the show was live-streamed on YouTube for the world to behold, with Aoki paying homage to his pal through the form he knows best; music. A stirring and emotional production, Chester Bennington’s voice echoes around the piece, reminding the world of a talent that was taken so young.
Bennington was found dead in his California residency in July after a battle with depression, with his death felt hard around the world, none more so than by his six children. ‘Boneless’ producer Aoki cited Chester as in inspiration to him musically, and a big part in his own career, with the cake-throwing star becoming one of EDM’s biggest names over a huge career which has seen him earn a residency at Pacha Ibiza, and headline many of his own sell-out gigs at iconic venues like Brixton’s O2 Academy.
