Last night at Amsterdam Music Festival, attendees feasted upon a blockbuster back to back ‘Two Is One’ performance from Armin Van Buuren and Hardwell. The set had closely followed the crowning of the world number one DJ with top spot being retained by the young Dutchman Martin Garrix. Armin was pipped to the second spot by Belgium duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike with Hardwell missing out on a top three award coming in at position four.

Awards show over, the stage was set for two heavyweights of the industry to musically hypnotise Amsterdam and the DJs did not disappoint. Both artists who have been former DJ Mag world number one winners on several occasions came together for their back to back performance known as ‘Two Is One’. From the onset, an ecstatic sold-out Netherlands crowd presented an unrivalled energetic atmosphere as the ‘Two Is One Intro Edit’ got underway. AMF and the stage glowed their Amsterdam orange with Hardwell and Armin dropping into the hard driving and pulsating ‘Dark Warrior (Willem De Roo Remix)’ by Andrew Rayel. The pair wet the tips the crowd’s lips with an Ummet Ozcan remix of Swedish duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso‘s ‘More Than You Know’ and that was the infinite tone set for how the performance would unfold.

Energy, fire, and spark were delivered throughout the one hour set with both Hardwell and Armin Van Buuren showing no intention of letting Amsterdam Music Festival settle. The constant bombardment of potent and irresistible tracks portrayed electronic greatness and why these two DJs remain in the top 10 of the DJ MAg top 100 list. Both DJs tantalized the crowd with a host of amazing tracks including ‘Heads Will Roll’ by Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, the beautiful ‘You Are’ by Armin van Buuren & Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and an ‘NWYR Remix‘ of the nostalgic ‘Played Alive’ by Safron Duo. The pair drew out there set on the fantastic ‘Power’ from KSHMR and the man himself Hardwell, remixed with the every popular ‘Great Spirit’ by Armin van Buuren & Vini Vici feat Hilight Tribe.

For Hardwell and Armon Van Buuren, their ‘Two Is One’ set proved to be one the most energetic and exuberant sets in recent times and will be talked about in the foreseeable future and electronic dance music history.
