This week, American deep house DJ/producer Lane 8 announced the release date of his second album ‘Little by Little’. The 28-year-old Daniel Goldstein revealed that he will release the album on his own This Never Happened imprint on January 19, 2018. Alongside the news of the release date, Goldstein also dropped his new single and a spectacular 35-date world tour in support of the album. ‘Little by Little’ will be the successor to Lane 8’s debut album ‘Rise’.

Lane 8’s new single is called “No Captain” and is a collaboration with fellow American synthpop band Poliça. The track portrays the typical deep house sound that Lane 8 fans have to come to know – and love – in recent years, combined with Channy Leaneagh‘s smooth, meditative voice. Filled with progressive synths chords and a mysterious melody, the dreamy track is enough reason for fans to eagerly await the entire ‘Little by Little’ album later this winter.

Throughout the years, Lane 8 made a name for himself by his breathtaking live performances. Just this summer, he hosted a number of sold-out “This Never Happened” events, where fans were urged not to use their phones and cameras during the shows. Goldstein explained the deeper meaning behind the idea, stating that he wants people to really connect with the music, and the people around them again. Fans embraced and loved the idea and maybe they shouldn’t be surprised when asked to leave their phones at home again during Lane 8’s new Little by Little album tour.

To celebrate and support the new album, Lane 8 will kick off his extensive world tour in Austin, Texas, starting January 25. The incredible number of 35 shows will take Goldstein to various other US cities, such as Miami and New Orleans, before continuing to Canada, Australia (April 2018) and finally the UK in May 2018.
