When Porter Robinson and Madeon‘s ‘Shelter‘ is mentioned, the idiom “time flies” is automatically associated. One year ago, the short film that kicked off the Shelter tour was released. In addition to that, the last Shelter show was performed 6 months ago in April at Coachella. While the collaboration is over, fans will forever reminisce what was an exceptional tour

The collaboration between the two talented young artists was a long time coming, however, the outcome, was indeed worth the wait. Using drum machines and launchpads, Porter Robinson & Madeon really strived to give fans a truly authentic, “live” feel. The tour saw the duo perform 43 shows, over a  7-month span, and visited countries such as the United Staes, Canada, Australia, England, The Netherlands, France and Japan, the world’s anime capital.

The anime for “Shelter” came out two months after the release of the single. Although at the time, the duration between these released appeared to be much longer than it actually was. The project was produced in collaboration with A-1 Pictures and Crunchyroll, and features the story of Rin, a 17-year-old girl who lives her life inside of a futuristic simulation completely by herself in infinite, beautiful loneliness.
