Following on from another huge year, Martin Garrix is showing no sign of slowing down, with plenty of new music on the horizon. After being crowned as the world’s number one DJ for the second year in a row, the young Dutch star continues to reach even bigger heights with each passing year. Now, he is looking ahead to the release of his next track, a collaboration with French superstar David Guetta, which has been highly awaited ever since it was premiered during his mainstage set at Tomorrowland earlier this year.

The collaboration titled ‘So Far Away‘ originally featured vocals from Ellie Goulding, alongside a male vocalist rumoured to be James Arthur, but Martin Garrix has now responded to rumours, revealing that her vocals will now be replaced. The dispute took place on Twitter, where Garrix claimed that she “didn’t want to release it”, which was quickly denied by Ellie Goulding, who refuted his claims calling them “unfair”. According to Goulding, the dispute was in fact a management issue, which revolved around a lack of communication and the track being played without her consent at a festival, before she had heard the final product.

When questioned by a fan later on regarding who would replace Ellie Goulding on the track, Martin Garrix kept details to a minimum, only revealing that the new vocalist will also be female. Despite the backlash from fans who are disappointed with the swap of vocals, the future bass anthem still will no doubt be a huge success. Check out a preview of the track below.
