W&W drop their latest NWYR release “Dragon”

Home Uncategorized W&W drop their latest NWYR release “Dragon”

The year 2017 is about to come to an end and it can already be summarized as the year of the alter ego’s for many DJ’s, including W&W and their powerful trance-side project NWYR. During Ultra Music Festival Miami in March, the Dutch duo Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst revealed their NWYR alias for the first time, which led to an explosion of positive reactions amongst their fans. Their debut single “Voltage” followed in June and showed the duo’s roots in trance music, in combination with a more bigroom drop. A couple of very successful NWYR remixes followed that same summer, such as Ed Sheeran‘s monsterhit “Castle On The Hill” and  Gareth Emery ft. Haliene’s “Saving Light”.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting a new single since, and with the Holiday season rapidly approaching, they are now being treated to a new release. “Dragon” is the successor to “Voltage” and is another euphoric trance-infused anthem with bigroom elements, especially in the way the drop is styled. The duo featured the track already a few times as an ID in their latest sets and the response of fans was huge every single time, making the track one of the most requested ones in W&W’s sets the past months. The track saw its official release yesterday and the guys made it available as a free download.

Alongside the release of “Dragon” came the news that W&W will perform as NWYR on the main stage of A State Of Trance #850, on February 17 2018 in their home country of the Netherlands. The duo appeared live on Armin van Buuren‘s latest episode of his popular radio show (ASOT #840) to announce the news. As a nice bonus, “Dragon” was crowned tune of the week.  Check out NWYR’s latest single below and be sure to see them perform at ASOT #850 in February of next year.
