Zedd performs acoustic cover of ‘Stay’ with Alessia Cara at AMA’s

Russo-German DJ/Producer Zedd once again teamed up with American singer/songwriter Alessia Cara, to deliver a tantalising acoustic cover of their hit single ‘Stay‘ at the 2017 AMA’s on Sunday night. While Anton Zaslavski (a.k.a Zedd) played chords on a gorgeous Roland piano and Alessia Cara’s vocals combined, they were backed by a small string outfit, which was met with a standing ovation.

Since its release, the track has amassed over 518 million Spotify streams and 213 million views on Zedd’s YouTube channel! The track also marks  Zedd’s highest-charting single as a main artist, peaking at No. 7 on the Hot 100.

While Zedd didn’t receive any nominations this year, he has been in the running in the past for “Favourite ElectronicMusic act from 2013-15. This year, The Chainsmokers took home the award after a stellar 2017 campaign.

‘Stay’ isn’t the only recent collaboration Zedd’s done with a pop artist. He recently released ‘Get Low‘ with Liam Payne and ‘Starving‘ with Hailee Steinfeld and GreyIn addition to this, Zedd was featured on the cover of Forbes’ 30 under 30 magazine; a true testament to the dedication and hard work that fans know and love him for.
