With the Bingo Players brand and legacy still rocking hard today, it is time to pay homage to former band member Paul Bäumer who tragically passed away due to cancer 4 years ago. Maarten Hoogstraten and his Dutch comrade graced many stages throughout the world and delivered dance classics still renowned and respected today.

Maarten Hoogstraten and Paul Bäumer of Bingo Players polished and struck gold in the Netherlands and beyond in 2011 with ‘Cry (Just a Little)’. The Dutch duo were also at number 1 in the English charts  with ‘Get Up (Rattle)’. The unprecedented amount of nostalgia to be found in their tracks speaks volume about their commitment to the dance music scene. In 2013, the Bingo Players were ranked number 52 in DJ Mag‘s Top 100 DJs list for 2013. The year also marked the last Ultra Music Festival appearance from the two DJ’s together. The set was a huge showcase of their finest tracks and mashups at the time. The set also represented other popular records that were big that year. Making an appearance are the tracks Buzzcut, Rattle, and the infamous “Daft Punk vs. Far East Movement – One More Jello (Bingo Players Bootleg)” that was the perfect closing to a banging live set.

In November of 2017, the documentary “A Decade of Bingo Players” was released that highlights the career of the band and their inception. The Dutch duo were major tastemakers of the early house scene and received support from many DJs and producers from across the globe. The evolution of the bands sound is rather unique as well, shifting from tech house vibes all the way over into the mainstream EDM sound still employed today.

We salute Paul Bäumer, and thank him for his amazing contributions to house music. Check out the video of the set below!
