Earlier this week, the legendary DJ and producer deadmau5 announced via Twitter that he will be releasing a new album in 2018. Fans of progressive and electro house superstar–and everyone’s favorite DJ twitter troll–have reason to be excited as the Canadian will also be releasing a slate of other projects.

Mau5trap Records on Twitter announced something of a sequel to the beloved and popular Deadmau5 BBC Radio 1 show, which in a typical Deadmau5 fashion he described as a “a brand new podcast mix show type thing”. The radio show closed out on a high note, with another tweet expressing his gratitude for the radio station for hosting his residency. He later released the entire slate of tracks played on the program in an special Spotify playlist.

Additionally, the next volume of his popular We Are Friends compilation series, entitled We Are Friends: 007, is due this week. It will feature contributions from artists on the mau5trap record label. He also promises the addition of many new artists signed to the label in the new year.

As for the album itself, it will be the successor to his current album W:/2016ALBUM. He was initially dissatisfied with what he deemed a lack of cohesion in the album’s theme, but did enjoy taking it on the road for the successful Lots of Shows in a Row Tour this year.
