Ephwurd drop new single ‘Function’ featuring Oneeva
Canadian-American bass house duo Ephwurd first burst into the scene in the summer of 2015, when they released a surprise remix of Major Lazer and DJ Snake’s “Lean On”. No on e knew who was behind the surprise remix, but when best buddies Datsik and Bais Haus revealed it was then, they soon released their first single with Spinnin’ Records titled “Rock The Party”. Ever since, Ephwurd has been on a roll, releasing a handful of powerhouse singles on different labels, before starting their own label Eph’d Up Records just a few months ago.
Ephwurd’s first official release on their own brand new label was called “Funky Beats” and a collab with Fatman Scoop titled “Money” followed shortly after that. With Eph’d Records now firmly in place, it’s time for the Datsik and Bais Haus to close out the year 2017 with a bang by dropping another surprise collab, this time with Oneeva. Ephwurd teamed up with the alternative rock/folk duo for “Function” mainly because of Natalie Kyoko Waters‘s beautiful silky voice, that adds emotion to the track, before Ephwurd’s signature future bass-like sounds kick in to take “Function” to the next level.
The new single is Ephwurd’s third on their own label and we are curious to see what’s in store for 2018. By dropping “Function”, the duo finalizes their most successful year in the scene so far, a year that took them across North America for performances at Main Stage of EDC Las Vegas, Shambhala, Lollapalooza, Global Dance Festival and a number of massive venues in Los Angeles, Washington DC, Toronto, Montreal, Seattle and San Diego.
